From Blue Heron House Concerts: I have been going to Low Bar Chorale events in Portland this Spring and having SO MUCH FUN, and I'm not much of a singer, I just love music, so decided to bring this amazingly fun audience participation event to Blue Heron House Concerts.
HOW DOES IT WORK?? You show up. Within minutes you’re singing the heck out of your favorite rock song with other folks and - wait for it - a live band of nationally known musicians. In three-part harmony, no less!

Welcome to the Low Bar Chorale and what we all not-so-secretly wish singing could be.
We’re drop-in only: no auditions, rehearsals, or commitments ever. We sing rock, alt-indie, and pop music like Bowie, Lady Gaga, Yacht Rock, or Michael Kiwanuka. We’ve got an incredible band, and we’ve performed with some amazing acts - Built To Spill, Portugal. The Man, Storm Large, and others.
The best thing is that ANYONE CAN DO THIS. No prior musical experience is required. Just show up with your love of music and an open mind, and we guarantee you’ll sound great.

What to bring: Your own chair, snacks, and beverages. Bring a mask for wearing in my house if you need to use the restroom. Masks not required in backyard.
Venue: my backyard in Tigard, Oregon, near Progress Ridge
What to expect: You may find yourself standing up a lot of the time while singing. Expect to have a lot of fun. It is like those uninhibited moments when you are singing solo in your car except you are in a big group and learning harmony parts. No experience is needed! Lyric sheets provided.
Parking: Street Parking in the neighborhood or park at Albertsons, it is a short walk plus you can pick up your snacks and beverages there
I have a short but steep driveway, sensible shoes recommended. Oregon June weather can be unpredictable: warm or cool, dress in layers.
